I think that the phrase “A personal history of parts of objects” captures what is going on in my photos -- which focus on enjoying and exploring the details of decaying/worn objects.
My non-photo art uses textures and contrasts to drive engagement with the piece.
That said, my sculptures
reflect this more than my paintings
A side note: when the need strikes, I occasionally do pieces of furniture -- they usually consist of intense bursts of anti-entropic fabrication.
